The Challenge:Animal rescue organizations often face the challenge of appearing both professional enough for large-scale fundraising and approachable enough for local adoptions. For Angel City Pit Bulls, the branding also needed to actively combat negative stereotypes associated with the breed through a welcoming and high-quality visual presence.
The Strategy:I developed a cohesive brand system that centers on "Community and Advocacy." The visual language moves away from the "gritty" or overly "clinical" looks common in the industry, opting instead for a bright, energetic, and polished aesthetic.
Design Highlights:
Visual Language: A balanced mix of bold, authoritative headers and friendly, readable body text to convey both expertise and warmth.
Color Strategy: A primary palette that feels modern and optimistic, designed to stand out in digital feeds and physical event collateral.
Iconography & Imagery: Focused on high-quality, "personality-forward" photography that highlights the individual spirit of each dog.
Scalability: A modular brand kit that works across diverse touchpoints, from social media graphics and volunteer merchandise to formal donor presentations.
The Impact:The final brand kit provides ACPB with the tools to maintain a consistent, "heroic" brand voice across all platforms, ensuring their life-saving work is represented with the professionalism and heart it deserves.
Key Deliverables:
Primary & Secondary Logo Systems: Versatile marks designed for everything from website headers to embroidered apparel.
Typography Suite: A curated selection of fonts that balance character with legibility.
Brand Voice & Tone Guidelines: Strategic direction on how to communicate the mission effectively.
Application Mockups: Visualizing the brand in real-world contexts including social media, stationary, and environmental graphics.
